We can blue print every part of the build and take out all of the guess work. About us
ADM Performance is owned and operated by Andy Malott. An avid combustion engine scientist, Vw enthusiast, and air cooled expert. Even at his young age Andy has many years under his belt of R&D with these engines. From racing and long hauling in both beetle and bus applications he has found what works. Andy is a predecessor in air cooled engines following his father (Ace Malott world renowned Moto Guzzi Mechanic) and grandfather (Alvin Malott air craft mechanic and engineer) With this up-bringing He learned the ins and outs of air cooled technology early on. Along side his father, and brother Alex Malott (pro racer), Andy was involved in many years of working with high performance motocross bikes. learning to push the limits of an engine even with in the confines of displacement. ‘Through the years we have pushed our air cooleds to hard, defining trips and tests to show the rigidity of our builds, currently rolling over 88,000 miles on my personal bus. ‘-Andy Malott
You will hear it time and time again I love building engines. I enjoy the machining, measuring, fitting, testing and making it look like something Vw them self produced. When looking for a new engine I think this is one of my leading factors. No fluff , no fads, just what works. You will see me shoot down some popular add ons. I drive my stuff to the middle of nowhere often, I don’t want any issues. We have tested so much stuff and only believe in what is tried and true. I ensure every engine is finely combed through and assembled, it may take 4-5 mock ups to get where I am happy with the build. -ADM
Our shop has been built from the ground up. Piece by piece, tool by tool. Hard work and a tremendous amount of awesome clients and friends. We build VWs because we love them, the history, the drivers and our friends. We want to be a shop for the people, by the people. We also want to support everyone in their builds and see everyone on the road enjoying their projects.

I have always found VWs so cool, being some what of a strange kid myself. Every engine I build is like an art project. I get to finesse all the small pieces of the build inside and out. I am simply ate up with them. They are a simple, yet misunderstood design. This is no chevy engine; to make them last and preform takes hundreds of measurements and quite frankly experience. Knowing what parts can be utilized in the build, unfortunately no parts company is a one stop shop.-ADM
